Mini Maylene

And we're 4/5 in the series! In this series where I directly spoof the opening of the Sailor Moon SuperS Movie, I put in the major players of my Pokemon fanfic, Travels of the Trifecta! instead! One such player happens to be the Veilstone Gym Leader, Maylene!

The sky background, I did not draw! That is a screencap of Pokemon D/P's first ending, Kimi no Soba de ~ Hikari no Theme ~. Everything else I did.

So yeah, this is part of a series taking off the idea of the SuperS Movie's opening, where the main five Sailor Senshi (Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus) are young children and doing typical young-children activities before getting their picture taken.

Maylene is in Makoto/Sailor Jupiter's position, albeit a bit differently. Makoto was trying to catch a dragonfly with a net. As she leaped for it, the dragonfly escaped and Makoto found that the dragonfly landed on her head. Here, Maylene isn't actually doing any bug-catching; she's meditating with her Riolu (which would obviously become her Lucario in the future) and Yanma (our dragonfly replacement) decided to interrupt things by landing on Maylene's head. ♥ Yanma are quite big, too, so it would surely be a distraction. Poor, poor Maylene.
