HEY!

I didn't really draw this for any reason except my own. It's for me and me only. And I've been meaning to draw it for a while. It's just that drawing Kai is a bitch for me, as you can see, I'm not that good at drawing him. XD I wouldn't want to think I was contradicting myself or anything after preaching about open-mindedness and R-E-S-P-E-C-T on places like LJ's beyblade_yaoi comm... ohhhh no! I just even out the balance.

I never liked Kai/Tyson as a pairing. Ever. Reeks of stereotype rivalshipping and opposites attract and yadda yadda yadda... I just don't see a REAL bond outside of the one the show tries to shove down your throat. I don't see anything that hints that these two could stand each other as best friends, much less an actual relationship. I don't see OMFG KAWAII when I see their sparkly little battles in G-Rev. All I see is cornyness and some really awkward planets. Makes me think of Astronomy class.... man, that was a nice class.... 7 PM, no sweat, just taking notes, doing tests, and looking at pretty pictures~...

... BUT ANYWAY! No. I've got my own mental perception of Beyblade, and everyone else has theirs. I perceive that Kai secretly hoardes nuclear weapons of mass destruction and would only be nice to Tyson to lure him in... Because he knows too much already, you see. So Kai thinks he must be taken out. To each his her own thoughts, and I'm sure many of my watchers even support Tyka.... point is, I don't. I drew this for myself, it's 8 AM and I have not slept yet. XD Some Tyka-shippers can sometimes be synonimous with Rei/Mariah-shippers, who tend to love to bash the hell out of Kai/Rei-shippers (not to say the Kai/Rei-shippers are angels or anything... some do their bashing too..), thus there's a great popular hatred for Kai/Rei as there is a love. Seen all kinds of nice anti-Kai/Rei art and art that shoves the 'manga canon' of Rin Kon down your throat. Lovely. Consider this my way of leveling out the playing field. XD I really do not see much not!TyKa art out there.

This was remotely peaceful, anyway. A simple, badly-drawn punch in the nose. I could've gone with nuclear weapons, but I'm even worse at drawing those than I am at Kai. And it was drawn so late at night. Ahahaha.

No, as a character I don't like Tyson. But when I think about it, I'm not all that wild about Kai either. I don't hate either of them, and any bashing I might or might not do is all in the sake of good humor. Because my sense of humor is a dick, like me. ;_; I could've just as easily done a Rei/Mariah version of this (cuz I suuure don't like that pairing either), except that'd probably make me come across as a more extreme stereotype. I don't like Mariah either, but I'm certainly not opposed to all BeyGirls, and I'll admit Mariah's improved in G-Rev. It's just... I like Miriam and MingMing so much better... -_-; Even Salima... (and Rei/Salima, too!) Mariah's just "ehh" with me. Unlike Emily... I still reeeeeally don't like her. O_o

Thing is, I take the whole Beyblade fandom with a grain of salt and a bag full of laughter. That's how you should take this picture. I had lots of fun with this, at least, despite the fact that drawing Kai is ALMOST like pulling teeth... (though I can't say; when I got 8 teeth pulled out this week, I was faaaar drugged out asleep at the time...)

Still, uh.... my point? Oh, yeah. Fuck canon! Whatevah! Whatevah! Ah do what ah wahnt!
